What to put on a cleaner job sheet
- Job number, date, the customer and the address of the work
- What was asked for, and what was actually done
- Time on site and the materials used
- The checks for this kind of job, each ticked off
- Notes, photos, and anything still to do or to come back for
- The customer's signature and the date, to confirm the work is done
Tips for cleaners
- Take photos of every room at the end of an end of tenancy clean. They answer the agent's checkout report.
- Note how you got in and how you left: keys returned, door locked, alarm set.

Why use a checklist for end of tenancy cleans?
The letting agent checks against the inventory, often room by room. A ticked checklist with photos shows exactly what you cleaned, which settles most disputes about the deposit, and your fee, straight away.
What is a job sheet?
A job sheet (also called a job card or work sheet) is the record of one visit: what you were asked to do, what you did, the checks you made, the materials you used and the customer's signature. It's what you turn to if there's a dispute, a callback or a warranty claim, and it makes the invoice quick to write.
Who signs a job sheet?
You fill it in and the customer signs it when the work is finished, to confirm it's done and they're happy with it. If the customer isn't there, note who let you in and send them a copy with photos.
